About the 

Where Fantasy Meets Fungi

The Chief Shroom found himself needing a few hobbies after retiring.  He dove into mycology as a hobby. Despite the joy it brought, he longed for one more exciting endeavor to keep him engaged. Luckily, his friend Kalrita, a skilled artist, entered the scene. One day, The Chief proposed an idea: "How about creating something for the mycology community to spread joy and keep me from going stir-crazy?" Kalrita, who had a passion for crafting custom tarot cards, enthusiastically agreed. "Let's create some cool mycology-themed playing cards!" The idea clicked, and The Chief Shroom's family joined the project - Olive as The Chief Story Officer, Snakey Boy as The Chief Research Officer, Ms. Mentat as The Chief Deanna Troi Officer, and Kalrita (Lexi) as the Chief Art Officer.

Together, they envisioned The FungiVerse, weaving an overarching narrative that follows The Psychonauts Journey from the 1900s, when the western world first embraced psychedelics, through the vibrant hippie culture of the 50s and 60s, into the era when the movement went underground (60s-2000s), and finally arriving at the present-day psychedelic renaissance. 

 

In crafting our story, we didn't stop at just visuals. We wanted you to dive in and become part of the adventure! That's why we've added exciting quests and exclusive prizes for those who uncover the hidden lore in our universe. So, when you explore The FungiVerse, you're not just a spectator – you're an active participant in the fun and discovery!

Throughout the creative process, the team had a blast shaping this unique project and hopes that you'll find as much enjoyment in it as they did!

Behind The Cards

Hey there! I'm Lexi (@Kalrita), the artist behind the cards  and all of the art here at FungiVerse!

Let me share a bit about what goes on behind the scenes, or rather, behind the cards!

My journey into the world of card art began with a few decks of tarot cards.

I found inspiration in the symbolism, and that sparked a passion that led me to create a few decks. It's amazing how a simple deck of cards can tell such a big story!

I did my best to infuse each card with a touch of magic, making every shuffle a journey through the fungiverse story.

So here's to the art, the process, and the endless possibilities each card holds. I'm just a small piece of this creative puzzle, and I'm thrilled to be on this journey, crafting cards that I hope bring joy, wonder, and a sprinkle of magic to your world.

    FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
    Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
